Movies The more you know

The future of Demon Slayer in a television key is partly already written. The success of the first season and of the film, which recently reached number five in the global top box office, strongly fuel hopes of seeing a sequel to the anime in the near future.

However, this does not mean that there is currently no official announcement of Demon Slayer 2. Neither Shueisha nor Ufotable have confirmed the start of production of the new season despite the mutual desire to continue to carry forward the Koyoharu Gotouge brand. Currently, in fact, sales of the manga are continuing to rise and there is no rush for an imminent debut.

To reveal what is brewing in regards to the franchise is the usual SPY that through a twitter published last October, which you can trace in the dedicated news about the announcement of the second season of the anime, warned fans of the saga that Demon Slayer 2 is already in production. As if this were not enough, a few months ago the news rebounded, also reported by Kudasai, that the second series could make its debut in spring 2021. Although nothing official turns about it, the spring season could be a useful date to reinforce the interest of readers a few months after the release of the last volume of the manga. In any case, the franchise will have an entire panel dedicated to Jump Festa 2021 and it is reasonable to expect news about it in the coming days given the media attention that Shueisha turns to the Japanese event.
