In case you don’t know, Sui Ishida, the author of Tokyo Ghoul, has a deep admiration for Hunter x Hunter and his creator, Yoshihiro Togashi. The two works, in fact, have often come into contact through some sketches made by Ishida sensei including a particular illustration by Hisoka.
The collaboration between the two also allowed Tokyo Ghoul’s dad to create a self-contained chapter on Hisoka’s past, an oneshot that has become very popular within the Hunter x Hunter community. During an interview between the two parties, Sui Ishida revealed one of the teachings imparted to him by Togashi which he then represented in an illustration, the same one you can admire at the bottom of the news.
Specifically, he learned from Hunter x Hunter author and Yu Yu Hakusho to draw the script while lying down. If you don’t know, Yoshihiro Togashi has been suffering from back problems for years that have repeatedly removed him from the serialization of his manga. Apparently, therefore, to limit the pain he found an alternative method, as ambiguous for his own physical health, to work and on the occasion of his meeting with Ishida he even decided to teach him.
And you, instead, what do you think of the definitive lesson given by Togashi to the Tokyo Ghoul’s father? Tell us your opinion about it, as usual, with a comment in the appropriate box at the bottom of the page.
