IT IS AMERICAN CITIZEN
Hands up whoever thought he was French. Timothée Hal Chalamet, this is his full name at the registry office, he was actually born in Manhattan from mom Nicole who is the real estate broker and dad Marc editor at UNICEF.

IT’S A MIXTURE OF NATIONALITY
His mother is from New York but actually Jewish, with Russian and Austrian ancestry. His father is from Nîmes (France) but has both French and English ancestors.

HAS ART IN THE BLOOD
Timothée is not the only artist in the family. His sister Pauline is an actress and is the nephew of director Rodman Flender, screenwriter Harold Flender and writer, producer and director Amy Lippman.

IS ACTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Even the actor of The King – The King is active on social networks. It is possible to follow him both on Instagram and on Twitter.

SPEAKS MANY LANGUAGES
Being American, Timothée speaks fluent English, but he also knows French very well because his father was born in France and he himself spent many summers in this country with his family. However, the actor also knows Italian; in a recent interview he declared:

For work I was in Italy for three months (N.D.R during the filming of Chiamami with your name) and I learned Italian, piano and guitar. I already knew how to speak French, but being in Italy I also learned Italian.

IT WAS A CLASSIC COMPANION OF ANSEL ELGORT
Yes, they were classmates as both Timothée and Ansel attended New York’s LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts.

EVERY TIME IT HAPPENED HIM
Not all auditions went well. Timothée has indeed supported the audition for the role of Spider-Man in Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War (2016) later obtained by Tom Holland. With regard to this hearing, the actor confessed to having read the script twice, but to have abandoned it because of panic.

Timothée also auditioned for the role of Patrick in Manchester by the Sea (2016), but the role then went to Lucas Hedges.

IT HAS MULTIPLE NAMES
It will be a little long for the name, but Timothée has several nicknames. According to IMDB.com, it is often called Teemo, Timmy, Tim, Timmy T or Lil Timmy Tim.

HE’S ENGAGED
Put your heart at rest because the young American actor is engaged to Lily Rose Depp, the French-American actress daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. In the past Timothée attended Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter with whom he remained on good terms.

IT WAS A GREAT FAN OF HEATH LEDGER
It was Heath Ledger and his superb performance in The Dark Knight – The Dark Knight (2008) that inspired Timothée to pursue an acting career.
