I have a mission, to convince color that they hate cold, autumn and winter, to madly love these seasons.
After having given you my wish list of things to do I decided to move on to strong manners: I will touch the senses, the olfactory character.
Imagine a rainy Sunday afternoon, the days getting shorter and a bit boring. How about making a fragrance for the home with the flavor of Autumn?
A few simple ingredients, some time to give yourself (you don’t want very much) and voila, you will be amazed at Thow your house will smell … Ready?
Ingredients:
- 6-7 cinnamon sticks
- a handful of star anise
- 1 apple
- zest of 2 oranges
- water (half-liter of the base but dose as desired based on pot and pot size)
If you like, you can add cardamom and carnation flowers.

Necessary material:
- 1 pot
- a glass vase
- a velvet ribbon (or simply from the autumnal color, here you can pick any)
- a telephone: this is used to photograph your creation 😉
Pour the orange zest into a pan, the apple cut in two and the remaining ingredients.
Boil on a low heat for about 1 hour.

Allow cooling for a quarter of an hour.
Place everything in a large vase and wrap the end with a velvet ribbon.
Now you can spend the afternoon sniffing your surroundings and letting this aroma capture the taste of autumn.

A very simple recipe but with an incredible result.
If you also add a lit fireplace and I would say that perfection is achieved.
